Description: 
At 954 PM CDT/854 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 15 miles south of Caprock to 9 miles west of Monument to 17 miles east of Red Bluff Reservoir. Movement was northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Hobbs, Lovington, Eunice, Jal, Tatum, Monument, Humble City, Maljamar, Crossroads, Eunice Airport, Caprock, McDonald, Jal Airport, Nadine, Gladiola, Tatum Airport, Knowles, Halfway, Bennett, and Lea County Regional Airport.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
