Description:
At 339 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles south of the Santa Teresa Port of Entry, moving north at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. Blowing dust
is also likely.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
West El Paso, Santa Teresa, Anthony, Sunland Park, Canutillo,
Westway, Vinton, La Union, Union Pacific Intermodal Terminal, and
Kilbourne Hole.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
