FFWEPZ The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico... West Central El Paso County in western Texas... * Until 915 PM MDT. * At 722 PM MDT, Thunderstorms with heavy rain continue to push through the El Paso area. Heavier rainfall is starting to trail back and stall across parts of West El Paso. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low- lying areas. Arroyos will likely become dangerously inundated. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... West El Paso, Central El Paso, Santa Teresa, Sunland Park and Franklin Mountains State Park. The heaviest rain has fallen along parts of South Mesa, Doniphan Drive, and down towards Paisano at Executive Center. Several flood prone areas are in this area of heavyu rain.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
