Description:
At 438 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Cannon Air Force Base, or 11 miles southwest of Clovis, moving
northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Cannon Air Force Base, Ranchvale, Saint Vrain and Portair.
This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 372 and 390.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
