Description:
At 424 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles northeast of Encinoso, or 33 miles east of Carrizozo, moving
northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of Northeastern Lincoln and Northwestern Chaves
Counties.
This includes Highway 285 near Mile Marker 154.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
