At 511 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles southeast of San Antonio, or 20 miles southeast of Socorro, moving west at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Bosque Del Apache Refuge and San Antonio. This includes the following highways... Highway 380 between Mile Markers 1 and 15. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 136 and 140.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce visibility below one quarter mile at times.
