Description:
At 336 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms 5 miles southeast of Saint Vrain, or 14 miles west of
Clovis, moving north at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Texico, Melrose, Cannon Air Force Base, Ranchvale, Oasis
State Park, Saint Vrain, Portair and Pleasant Hill.
This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 362 and 397.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
