Description:
At 550 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of La
Union, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Anthony, Vado, Santa Teresa, Berino, Chamberino, La Union, Mesquite,
La Mesa, Union Pacific Intermodal Terminal, Mount Riley, and
Kilbourne Hole.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
