Description:
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible,
mainly on and immediately downstream of the South Fork and Seven
Cabins burn scars. This also includes potential for flooding
downstream of the Salt burn scar.
* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
area, South Central Mountains.
* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- An approaching Pacific disturbance will interact with Gulf
moisture to produce widespread showers and storms capable of
producing heavy downpours from Monday afternoon through Monday
evening in and around the South Central Mountains. The flash
flood threat will be elevated in and near area burn scars, but
will be low elsewhere.
