* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southwestern Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 615 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 309 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen on the Rio Penasco and Chiquita Creek in Otero County above Elk. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area.
