Description:
...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR MUCH OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO 12 PM TO 7 PM
TUESDAY DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY...
.Critical fire weather conditions are coming to an end for the
day across northeast New Mexico as relative humidity values rise
and southwest winds slowly taper off. Strong southwest winds and
low humidity values return to the area Tuesday as well as
expanding across a larger area of eastern NM. This will bring the
potential for rapid fire spread to areas that received little
rainfall this past Friday and Saturday.
* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Plains (Zone 104) and Northeast
Highlands (Zone 123) from 12 PM to 7 PM MDT Tuesday.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to
55 mph Tuesday.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values 11 to 16 percent on Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
