Description:
At 820 PM MDT, an area of blowing dust is spreading rapidly northwest
across Chaves County.
HAZARD...Less than three miles visibility with strong winds in excess
of 50 mph.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT...Hazardous travel.
Locations impacted include...
Roswell, Dexter, Hagerman, Bottomless Lakes State Park, Bitter Lake
Wildlife Refuge, Dunken, Elk, Lake Arthur, Roswell Correctional
Facility and Midway.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 380 between Mile Markers 156 and 200. Highway 285 between
Mile Markers 79 and 126.
Instruction:
Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. PULL ASIDE
STAY ALIVE!
