Description:
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM MDT Saturday. a
Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch
is in effect from Sunday morning through Monday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 430 through 437.
* WIND...For the Red Flag Warning: West to northwest gusts between
25 to 35 mph. For the Fire Weather Watch: West to northwest
gusts to 20 mph Sunday, becoming light and variable overnight,
then west to northwest gusts between 25 to 30 mph Monday.
* HUMIDITY...For the Red Flag Warning: 12 to 16 percent. For the
Fire Weather Watch: 8 to 12 percent.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
