Description: 
At 723 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles north of Sutherland, or 16 miles southwest of Tryon, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Lincoln and south central McPherson Counties. This includes the following highways... Highway 92 between mile markers 199 and 200. Highway 97 between mile markers 10 and 19.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for southwestern and west central Nebraska.
