Description: 
At 1252 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Cairo, or 12 miles west of Grand Island, moving east at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Hamilton, southwestern Merrick, southeastern Howard and Hall Counties. This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 307 and 317.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for south central Nebraska.
