Description:
At 837 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over White Clay, or near Pine Ridge, moving east at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Gordon, White Clay, Pine Ridge, Hoover Lake, Intersection of Highway
87 and Craven Creek Road, Irwin, Intersection of Highway 87 and
Larabee Road, Mount Maria, Intersection of Highway 20 and Irwin Road,
and Shell Lake State Wildlife Management Area.
This includes Highway 20 between mile markers 119 and 121.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
the Panhandle of and north central Nebraska.
