At 146 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near Strang, or 29 miles northwest of Fairbury, moving north at 20 mph. These storms have had a history of producing 50 mph and greater wind gusts in Thayer county. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Strang around 150 PM CDT. Geneva around 205 PM CDT.
