At 1017 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Gandy, or near Stapleton, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Stapleton, Gandy, Tarboz Lake, Shanklin Bluff, Hoagland, and Brown Lake. This includes the following highways... Highway 92 between mile markers 226 and 237. Highway 83 between mile markers 107 and 125.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for central and west central Nebraska.
