Description:
At 653 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Sixteen-Mile Corner to 14 miles southwest
of Champion. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Strong thunderstorms will be near...
Venango and Lamar around 700 PM MDT.
Champion around 720 PM MDT.
Imperial around 725 PM MDT.
Grant around 730 PM MDT.
Other locations impacted by these storms include Crete, Wild Horse
Spring, Center Dam Campground, Brandon, Wanamaker State Wildfire
Management Area, Area A Campground, Church Grove Campground, and
Chase.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 61 between mile markers 30 and 62, and between mile markers
68 and 71.
Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 115 and 118.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM MDT for
southwestern Nebraska.
