Description:
At 727 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a landspout near Peetz, or 11 miles southwest of
Sidney, moving north at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Landspouts, wind gusts up to 40 mph, and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects.
Locations impacted include...
Sidney, Brownson, Sidney Municipal Airport, Lorenzo, and Cheyenne
County Fairgrounds.
This includes Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 42 and
60.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
