Description:
At 1240 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles north of Page to 8 miles southwest of
Lynch to near Stuart. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
O'Neill, Spencer, Atkinson, Lynch, Gross, Bristow, Emmet, Monowi,
Scottville, Hull Lake State Wildlife Management Area, Redbird State
Wildlife Management Area, Opportunity, Spencer Dam, Midway, Dorsey,
Parshall Bridge State Wildlife Management Area, and Anncar.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 20 between mile markers 283 and 311.
Highway 281 between mile markers 181 and 217.
Highway 12 between mile markers 117 and 144.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
