Description:
At 1213 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles north of Page to near Stuart. Movement
was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
O'Neill, Atkinson, Stuart, Page, Inman, Emmet, Opportunity, Midway,
and Scottville.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 20 between mile markers 279 and 317.
Highway 281 between mile markers 177 and 202.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
