At 545 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Newport, or 15 miles east of Bassett, moving east-northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Stuart and Dustin. This includes Highway 20 between mile markers 271 and 282.
