Description:
At 612 PM CDT/512 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm 10 miles northwest of Tryon, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Highway 97 crossing the Dismal River, Big Lamunyon Flats, and
Shimmons Lake.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 92 between mile markers 192 and 197.
Highway 97 between mile markers 36 and 55.
