At 846 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles northeast of Gandy, or 12 miles northeast of Stapleton, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Dunning, Halsey, Linscott, and Brown Lake. This includes Highway 2 between mile markers 228 and 255.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for central, north central and west central Nebraska. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in North Platte.
