At 745 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 10 miles south of Merriman to 21 miles southeast of Gordon, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Intersection of Highway 61 and Shadbolt Road, Highway 61 crossing the Snake River, Rock Hill, and Morgan Lake. This includes Highway 61 between mile markers 197 and 216.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for north central Nebraska. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in North Platte. Wind damage with these storms may occur before any rain or lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
