Northeastern Dawes County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...
* Until 530 PM MDT.
* At 504 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 miles southwest of Slim Buttes Housing to 7 miles
east of Red Cloud Campground, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...ASOS measured. At 453 PM a 73 MPH wind gust was measured
at Chadron Airport.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include...
Chadron, Chadron Municipal Airport, Red Cloud Campground, Chadron
State Park, Dawes County Fairgrounds, and Chadron State Park
Campground.
