At 749 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles east of Nickerson to 4 miles northwest of Gretna, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Weather Instrument Measurements at the Fremont airport reported 64 mph. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Omaha, Blair, Bennington, Boys Town, Elkhorn, Kennard, Flanagan Lake, Zorinsky Lake, Standing Bear Lake, Fort Calhoun, Benson, Carter Lake, Eppley Airfield and Florence.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for southwestern Iowa...and east central Nebraska. Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from windows.
