At 717 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Walthill to 3 miles west of Lyons to Scribner, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Public. At 6:59PM golf ball size hail was reported Public. At 6:59PM golf ball size hail was reported. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... West Point, Tekamah, Oakland, Pender, Scribner, Lyons, Walthill, Winnebago, Beemer, Dodge, Bancroft, Decatur, Snyder, Uehling, Craig, Rosalie, Thurston, Macy, Dead Timber State Recreation Area, and Summit Lake State Recreation Area.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for west central Iowa...and northeastern and east central Nebraska. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northeastern and east central Nebraska. Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from windows. These are dangerous storms, capable of producing large hail driven by severe winds! SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows! If you are caught outdoors, cover your head and neck.
