Central Buffalo County in south central Nebraska...
* Until 730 PM CDT.
* At 648 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Riverdale, or
10 miles northwest of Kearney, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
central Buffalo County.
This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 278 and 282.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
