Description:
At 458 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles northeast of
Lorton, or 5 miles southwest of Nebraska City, moving northeast at 40
mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR TALMAGE.
HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Public. This storm has a history of producing golf ball
sized hail near Tecumseh.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
eastern Johnson, northwestern Nemaha and eastern Otoe Counties.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for southeastern
Nebraska.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
This storm is producing large hail. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy
structure and stay away from windows.
