The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Red Flag Warning from noon CDT /11 AM MDT/ today to 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 219 Loess Plains. * TIMING...Noon CDT/11 AM MDT through 9 PM CDT/8 PM MDT. * WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 8 to 12% across much of the Sandhills and western Nebraska, and 12 to 20% across central into north central Nebraska. * TEMPERATURES...Highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. * LIGHTNING...None expected. * IMPACTS...Any fire starts may rapidly grow and spread.
