COUNTIES ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE NEBRASKA-KANSAS BORDER...
The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from noon today to 9 PM CDT this evening.
* WINDS...From the southwest, sustained 15 to 20 MPH and gusting
at least 25 to 30 MPH.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as around 20 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will spread quickly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
