* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as cold as 27 to 32 degrees expected, along with widespread frost. * WHERE...Greeley, Howard, Merrick, Nance, Sherman, Valley, Polk, Buffalo, Dawson, and Gosper Counties in central and south central Nebraska. * WHEN...From 1 AM to 8 AM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...After Saturday morning, frost development and/or freezing temperatures should not occur again until at least the middle of next week.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
