Big Nemaha River at Falls City affecting Richardson County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Big Nemaha River at Falls City. * WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Primary roads have begun to flood. This may include portions of Highway 73 and Preston Road. Other primary roads in the area may be inundated depending on flows along Muddy Creek and the Missouri River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 29.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 27.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:45 PM CDT Friday was 31.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling to 5.8 feet early Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 27.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 29.9 feet on 05/13/1995. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
