* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of east central and south central Nebraska, including the following counties, in east central Nebraska, York. In south central Nebraska, Clay, Fillmore and Hamilton. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 646 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms earlier this morning. Minor flooding is likely already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen over the last several hours, most of which fell in a short time between 4 and 5 AM CDT and centered within a narrow stripe roughly between Sutton and Henderson. Although only light rain is currently falling, it is possible that spotty thunderstorms with heavier rain could redevelop over the area later today. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Turkey Creek, Beaver Creek, West Fork Big Blue River, North Fork Turkey Creek, Galaway Creek, Little Sandy Creek, School Creek and Elk Run Creek. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
