Description:
* WHAT...Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 3 inches
over the plains, between 2 and 6 inches at Marias Pass, and
amounts in excess of 6 inches over the higher terrain of Glacier
National Park. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Eastern Glacier National Park and adjacent foothills and
plains.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM MDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Expect difficult driving conditions due to slush or snow
covered roadways. Falling and or blowing snow may significantly
reduce visibility at times. Tire chains may be required for some
vehicles if traveling through mountain passes. Those with outdoor
plans should be prepared for dangerous outdoor conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heavy, wet snow may cause instances of
power outages and or tree damage.
Instruction:
Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or visiting the MDT Road
Report website.
