Description:
At 213 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles south of Laurel, or 18 miles southwest of Billings, moving
north at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. Heavy rainfall is
occuring with this storm.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible. Brief heavy rainfall could produce localized
flooding.
Locations impacted include...
Laurel and Silesia. This does not include the city of Billings.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
