Description: 
At 456 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from 17 miles southwest of Big Arm to 9 miles east of Ronan, or extending from 20 miles west of Polson to 16 miles southeast of Polson, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Polson, Ronan, Kerr, Jette, Rocky Point, Kings Point, Pablo, Turtle Lake, Big Arm, Finley Point, Round Butte, Dayton, Elmo, Kicking Horse, Niarada and Lonepine.
Instruction: 
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. If on or near Flathead Lake, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
