Description: 
At 713 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 18 miles west of Cooke City, or 48 miles south of Livingston, moving northwest at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. This strong thunderstorm will impact portions of the Custer Gallatin National Forest and Paradise Valley. Other locations impacted by this strong thunderstorm include Chico Hot Springs and Pine Creek.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until this storm passes.
