Description:
At 820 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Hayti Heights, or over Hayti, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Caruthersville, Hayti, Ridgely, Hayti Heights, Deering, Heloise,
Miston, Bolton, Cottonwood Grove, Pascola, Lenox, Ayers, Hathaway,
Broadmoor, Bogota, Tennemo, Boothspoint, Big Boy Junction,
Mengelwood, and Tylersville.
This includes Interstate 55 in Missouri between mile markers 9 and
24.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
southeastern Missouri...and west Tennessee.
