Description: 
At 410 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Osceola, or 14 miles west of Hermitage, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Pomme De Terre State Park, Pomme de Terre Lake, Truman Lake, Osceola, Hermitage, Weaubleau, Wheatland, Preston, Cross Timbers, Collins, Vista, Gerster, Quincy, Harper, Fristoe, Iconium, Knobby, and Edwards.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for central and southwestern Missouri. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for west central Missouri.
