Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following
counties, Barry, Lawrence and McDonald.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1259 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned
area.
- This includes the following low water crossings...
Flat Creek at Highway C, Little Sugar Creek at Skaggs Hollow
Road, Butler Creek at Kings Highway, Shoal Creek at Farm Road
2110, Big Sugar Creek at Buzzard Glory Road, Flat Creek at
Highway U and Buffalo Creek at Klondike Road.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area.

Monett, Aurora, Cassville, Pineville, Marionville, Anderson,
Noel, Pierce City, Goodman, Purdy, South West City, Exeter,
Wheaton, Verona, Lanagan, Dodge, Butterfield, Pioneer,
Freistatt, Cayuga, Rocky Comfort, Ridgley, Wayne, Powell,
Mcdowell, Pleasant Ridge, Madry, Jenkins, Wheelerville, Tiff
City, Big Sugar Creek State Park and Roaring River State
Park.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
