River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Bourbeuse River at Union. * WHEN...Until Friday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday was 15.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.1 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted.
