Description:
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Cole County in central Missouri...
Southern Moniteau County in central Missouri...
* WHEN...Until 345 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1251 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported moving water over
the road near Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Clarksburg due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
California, Tipton, Clarksburg, McGirk and Latham.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
