Northern Polk County in southwestern Missouri...
Southeastern St. Clair County in west central Missouri...
* Until 115 PM CDT.
* At 1017 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Humansville, Weaubleau, Wheatland, Pittsburg, Polk, Collins,
Flemington, Vista, Gerster, Elkton, Nemo, Pomme de Terre Lake,
Truman Lake and Pomme De Terre State Park.
This includes the following low water crossings...
Ingalls Creek at Highway HH, Weaubleau Creek at 350 Road, Hogles
Creek at County Road 86, Weaubleau Creek at Highway V and Brush
Creek at 1200 Road.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
