Southern Greene County in southwestern Missouri...
* Until 115 PM CDT.
* At 718 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Battlefield, Clever, Billings,
Fremont Hills, Brookline, Boaz and Galloway.
This includes the following low water crossings...
Green Valley Creek at Holder RD, Wilson Creek at Farm Road 156,
Dry Crane Creek at Jasmine Road and Wilson's Creek at Old Limey
Road.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
