Description:
At 807 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flash flooding is
occurring in the city of Trenton. Water is over multiple roads
including Normal Street west of the school complex. Additionally,
water was flowing over several locations along Highway 146 west of
Trenton. . Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Trenton, Bethany, Gilman City, Spickard, Galt, Laredo, Tindall and
Brimson.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
