* Flash Flood Warning for...
Jasper County in southwestern Missouri...
Northern Newton County in southwestern Missouri...
* Until 530 AM CDT Monday.
* At 1120 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Joplin, Carthage, Neosho, Webb City, Carl Junction, Oronogo,
Granby, Carterville, Duquesne, Sarcoxie, Duenweg, Diamond,
Leawood, Silver Creek, Alba, Purcell, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw,
Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Carytown, Fidelity, Asbury, Newtonia,
Neck City, Redings Mill, Wentworth, Avilla, Grand Falls Plaza, La
Russell, Brooklyn Heights, Shoal Creek Estates, Reeds, Waco,
Ritchey, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Atlas, Oakland Park and Iron
Gates.
This includes the following low water crossings...
Dry Fork at Pine Road, Fidelity Branch at County Road 130, Center
Creek at Dogwood Road and Center Creek at Azalea Drive.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
