Description:
At 1020 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported flooding was
occurring from thunderstorms that produced heavy rain across the
warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Bolivar, Greenfield, Lockwood, Fair Play, Morrisville, Polk,
Dadeville, Halfway, South Greenfield, Aldrich, Arcola, Umber View
Heights, Masters, Bona, Bearcreek, Cane Hill, Eudora, Dunnegan,
Neola, Cedarville, Goodson, Sylvania, Meinert, Stockton Lake,
Pomme de Terre Lake and Stockton State Park.
This includes the following low water crossings...
Lousy Branch at County Road 85, Ingalls Creek at Highway HH,
Turkey Creek at Highway W, Deer Creek at Highway YY, Bear Creek at
60th Road, Slagle Creek at 86 Road and Sons Creek at County Road
113.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
